ENGINEER'S TABLE OF
RADIATIONS AND ENERGIES
Anionic Energy | form of energy composed of quantum-level particles. |
Antilepton Interference | energetic particle field that can interfere with subspace communications. |
Antithoron Radiation | energetic antiparticles. |
Berthold Rays | deadly radiation that causes disintegration of carbon-based animal tissue. |
Delta Radiation | form of hazardous energy, it can interfere with a ship's sensors. |
Duonetic Field | form of energy that inhibits flow of electromagnetic radiation preventing operation of most technological devices. |
Eichner Radiation | form of radiation found to stimulate growth of certain strains of plasma plague. |
Gamma Radiation | highly energetic electromagnetic radiation with wavelengths less than 10-10 meters, associated with nuclear processes. |
Graviton Wave | traveling energy field composed of graviton particles. A wave of sufficient power can be destructive to any matter in its path. |
Hyperonic Radiation | hazardous form of energy that can be fatal to unadapted humans. |
Ionizing Radiation | any radiation powerful enough to cause certain atoms to become electrically charged |
Kinoplastic Radiation | amorphous energy associated with subspace phenomena. |
Kreiger Waves | energy phenomenon that is a potentially valuable new power source. |
Luvetric Pulse | energy form. |
Magnaton Pulse | electromagnetic energy burst. |
Magnetascopic Interference | electromagnetic energy produced by unstable protostars. |
Neurogenic Radiation | form of electrical energy used in the practice of medicine to stimulate a patients brain. |
Neutron Radiation | energy discharge consisting of electrically neutral subatomic particles. |
Nucleonic Radiation | hazardous energy normally present within a replicator. It can cause massive cell mutation in living tissue. |
Polaric Ion Energy | highly energetic but unstable power source. Its use runs the risks of uncontrolled chain reactions throughout subspace. |
Soliton Wave | nondispersing wavefront of subspace distortion. |
Theta Radiation | hazardous form of ionizing radiation, which is also deleterious to humanoids but treatable in moderate doses. |
Trinimbic Interference | powerful energy disturbance in the upper atmosphere of a Class-L planet. It can render sensors and transporters ineffective and can cause heavy atmospheric turbulence. |
Triolic Waves | an energy source that has deleterious effects on most living tissue, except for life-forms with microcentrum cell membranes |
